Exposition d'Image Contact

Ce n'est pas souvent que l'on nous demande d'exposer, alors quand l'opportunité s'est présentée, nous ne pouvions pas refuser....même si cela voulait dire la préparer en 2 semaines. 

Une fois le challenge accepté, les membres de l'association Image Contact, dont je fais partie, se sont mis en mode Tri, Re-cadrage, Tirage, Encadrement et Accrochage. 

Le tour est joué, tout est prêt : 

17 photographes exposent près de 35 photos, en format 40x50, sur la région Lyonnaise et de l'Ain  ! 

Si vous prenez l'autoroute Lyon - Genève (A42), n'hésitez pas à faire une pause, sortie Beynost (No5). Vous verrez l'expo d'Image Contact à L'hôtel Lyon-Est ****

Scrabble game

How do you play scrabble? 

After you find yourself comfortable on the floor, lounging on a cushion, with the scrabble board set up and the letters distributed, how do you like to play scrabble?

Do you always wish you had other letters to make up your genius word that would have given you lots of points....but sadly you don't have those letters?

Do you keep looking for the longest word until your co-players start moaning that it's definitely time to play now and put down whatever comes first, even a 2 letter word!

Or do you like to play quickly because you are too eager to find out which new letters you'll pick up next from the bag?


We have all got our own little ways with scrabble and these two players definitely made up their own rules. In the end, they enjoyed playing with the letters and just had fun pretending to be grown ups.

A burst of colours for a rainy day

Just because I had the opportunity to walk around Annecy which was bursting with beautiful flowers, and because the weather was nice (Yes, the sun was out this time), I was drawn to the colours that I must have been craving for during this grey Spring season.

This is unusual for me. Don't get me wrong, I love flowers, as the details that nature gave them is incredible.

But I tend to go for landscape or graphic scenes.

Except this time, it invaded me and I kept going for them.

Shooting a new subject was also very good practice, brought enjoyment and reminded me that I need to invest in a macro lens to do a decent job!

Le Beaujolais

When family comes to visit from abroad, I like to show them the surrounding area, so rich in heritage, culture and landscape. Every time, we enjoy taking in all this natural beauty that we often take for granted. 

I recently took family to the Beaujolais region, which I had discovered for the first time last year, a few months after moving back to France. At the time, I had captured parts of the flavoured landscape with my camera and left the photos to rest and mature for at least a year. Visiting the region again revived the desire to develop last year's photos, which I am sharing today.

This series being on the slight "post-card" style, I am aware it is not a Grand Cru. However, the contrasts, made up with the natural light that the weather created at the time, brings me to invite you to the Beaujolais region.
